The Camping Riarena is located in 6516 Cugnasco, a peaceful village in the Magadino Plain, right on the bike path between Bellinzona and Locarno. Due to its central location, we are easily accessible via the Bellinzona Nord and Bellinzona Sud highway exits.
The campsite gets its name from the nearby flowing stream called "Riale Riarena," which originates in the region of Cima dell'Uomo and joins the Ticino River after just 8 km. The surrounding nature reserve and one of the oldest oak forests in Europe give the campsite a distinctive flair, right in the midst of nature.
The 32,000 square meter area accommodates a total of 210 pitches, a restaurant with a reception and a small grocery store, as well as the caretakers' residence.
A spacious pool complex with various pools and a pool bar, along with centrally located sanitary facilities, complete the campsite.
We prioritize environmentally conscious disposal and sustainability! Thanks to our specially designed waste separation system, you can separate and dispose of your waste in an environmentally friendly manner right on-site.
SWIMMING AND ENJOYMENT

The centerpiece of our campsite is the inviting, spacious, and sunny pool area.
​
In addition to our large 25-meter swimming pool, a separate pool area with two different depths and sunshades is available for our young guests. Here, even the youngest visitors will have a great time.
​
Cleanliness is highly emphasized in our pool area as well. In addition to regular water checks, we have a well-equipped filtration system to ensure the cleanliness of the pool water. Nothing stands in the way of carefree swimming fun!

The daily swimming experience is complemented by the pool bar and the adjacent gelateria. The bar is well-stocked with a variety of refreshing drinks and beers, inviting you to relax and enjoy.

We greatly value regional products - in the adjacent gelateria, you will find a variety of locally made ice creams.
​
The pool is operational from mid-April until approximately mid-September.
SHOPPING
The camping store next to the reception is small but well-stocked. Here, you will find everything you need for a carefree camping
holiday.
We offer a rich, regional, and flexible range of dairy products, beverages, toiletries, household items, and much more for your convenience. A small selection of camping accessories, such as holders and pegs, completes the assortment.
Did you forget your travel adapter? Or would you like to use our barbecue area? For a small deposit, we are happy to assist you with our rental inventory.

Bread Delivery Service - Exclusive!
The bread delivery service is an exclusive offering of Camping Riarena. Through our app, you can order fresh bread, rolls, or croissants directly from the bakery every day. This ensures a delightful start to your day!
Gluten-free bread is also available.

WiFi
The entire area is equipped with WiFi, which is available to you free of charge throughout your stay. For more information, please inquire at the reception.

Freezer
A freezer is provided free of charge at the reception for cooling freezer packs. Users are responsible for their own items, and any liability is disclaimed.

Camper Station
Of course, we also take care of the less glamorous aspects. At our camper station, you can safely dispose of your wastewater and chemical toilets. There is also a water connection available for refilling your freshwater supply.
GAME HALL

The game hall is located right next to the restaurant. It has been completely redesigned and renovated for the 2021 season!

In our game hall, you'll find almost everything your gaming heart desires. From table tennis, air hockey, and foosball to pinball machines and other arcade games, there are numerous entertainment options available.

PLAYGROUND
​
It is important to us that all guests have a great time. While some may prefer a more tranquil setting, others appreciate a place to let loose and have fun. Our diverse playground offers everything a child's heart desires.

The large play tower with a slide and two lookout towers immediately catches your eye. Next to it, there is a spacious sandbox that naturally invites children to build sandcastles.
​
We also cater to the older guests. A basketball hoop, a volleyball/badminton court, and an internal soccer field complete the playground. There's something for everyone here - come and check it out!
DISHWASHING AND LAUNDRY
Centrally located next to the sanitary facilities, there are eight double sinks available for dishwashing.
Adjacent to the dishwashing area is a separate laundry room. Two washing machines and a tumble dryer are provided for free use. To ensure that nobody has to enjoy their vacation with wrinkled clothes, there is also an ironing board with an iron available on the women's side. Enjoy using these facilities!

Due to increasing issues with dog owners in the past, as of January 1, 2020, dogs are no longer allowed at Camping Riarena.

Exception: Assistance dogs for persons with disabilities.
We appreciate your understanding.

Exceptions are granted to permanent and seasonal campers who are allowed to bring their pets and members of the H-und.ch Membercard. No other exceptions can or will be granted.
